FAQ

When can I RSVP?

RSVPs will open once paper invitations have been sent through the mail. Each invitation will include a link to this site where an RSVP form will be available. Keep an eye on your letterbox!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 1 May 2026 so we can finalise headcounts, transport requirements and logistics ahead of the celebrations.

Will transfers be arranged on the wedding day?

Yes. A dedicated transfer service will operate from select pick-up points to the ceremony at Chateau d'Estoublon. Following the aperitif, transfers will take guests to the off-site dinner and evening celebration, with return shuttles provided to designated drop-off points at the conclusion of the night.

Are children invited?

Yes — children are warmly welcomed. A professional childcare service will be arranged on-site for families who would like support during the celebrations. You can indicate that you'd like childcare when submitting your RSVP. We kindly recommend that children depart after the conclusion of dinner, so parents can enjoy the remainder of the evening comfortably.

What are the travel requirements to visit France?

Most travellers can enter France and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days without a visa. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. New EU border systems, including biometric Entry/Exit registration and ETIAS, are being introduced. Please check the latest guidance before travelling: travel-europe.europa.eu

What is the nearest airport, and how far is it from the venue?

The closest major airports are Marseille-Provence Airport (MRS), approximately 1 hour from the region, and Avignon-Provence Airport (AVN), approximately 45 minutes away. A rental car or pre-arranged transfer is recommended, as rural Provence is not heavily serviced by rideshare options.

What will the weather be like in June?

June in Provence is warm and golden, with daytime temperatures typically between 25-30°C (78-86°F) and warm summer evenings. A light layer is recommended after sunset.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please let us know when submitting your RSVP. We will be liaising closely with the catering teams to ensure all dietary requirements are accommodated wherever possible.

What should I wear?

The wedding day dress code is Provencal Black Tie with Optional Highland Attire. See our Attire page for detailed guidance.

Can I bring a plus one?

Yes, just fill out your RSVP accordingly.

What about tipping and customs in France?

Service is included by law in French restaurants and hotels, so tipping is not expected. It is common to leave a euro or two for exceptional service at a café or to round up a taxi fare, but there is no obligation. At bars you can simply say “gardez la monnaie” (keep the change). Greeting shopkeepers and staff with a friendly “bonjour” when entering and “au revoir” when leaving goes a long way.

Did you vibe code this website?

Yes! This site was built almost entirely with Claude Code by the couple. After surveying the open source wedding website options on GitHub and finding them lacking, we decided to build our own from scratch. It's a Ruby on Rails app hosted on Render, fully database-driven with an admin panel for managing invitations and RSVPs. Claude Code became something of a family member during the planning process. We plan to open source it after the wedding.

What about gifts?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for.

In lieu of gifts, a charitable contribution in support of a cause close to our hearts would be warmly appreciated. Details to follow.
